"Today is our INDEPENDENCE DAY!" (Name that movie)

My cousin Bre invited us up to Show Low for the Fourth of July. It was right after we got back from Disneyland, so we got home, did some laundry, packed up again and headed to Show Low on Sunday morning. We got there early in the afternoon and just spent the day hanging out and visiting and letting the kids play together. Andrew and Rory love visiting Paige and Peyton. They have a lot of fun with them. They played dress-up, (Cinde-Rory)(Andrew liked being a transformer)(Peyton was a dinosaur)(Bumble-Bee tried to take out the dinosaur)(Pretty Paige Balerina)(And did Rory want to be a balerina? Nope, she wanted to be Bumble-Bee. It took quite a bit of convincing to get this off of her.)jumped on the trampoline, swung on the rope swing, and just had fun. That night after the kids went to bed Nicole and I played games with Bre and Josh. Bre was a little bit more adventurous than Josh was. He thought "And It Came to Pass" and the "Bean Game" sounded a bit to strange for his liking. But he did play "Ticket to Ride" with us and that was a lot of fun. The next day we went to a parade in the morning. One of Josh's brothers owns a restaurant on the main strip in Show Low, so his whole family sets up right there to watch the parade. After that we went back to the house for a little bit and then went over to a BBQ at the car dealership where Josh's dad works or worked. We took the kids back for a nap after the BBQ, and then hung out. They were supposed to have fireworks, but they were on hold due to questionable weather, and then they were cancelled. So we decided to head home around 7pm so we wouldn't get home too late. Well we found out why they cancelled the fireworks. While we were driving home there wasn't more than a second that went by without a lightning strike. When we were driving through Globe, there was so much debris all over the roads. There was even a section of road that the police were diverting traffic around a huge rock slide that was blocking one side of the road. It was a crazy storm! But we made it home safely. It was a fun weekend! Thanks Josh and Bre for inviting us up there. We hope to see you guys again soon.
