Rory's Birthday Party Day

Rory wanted to see "Tangled" for her birthday, so Todd made plans to take her to see it Saturday morning while I got stuff ready for the party. We were originally going to do it on her birthday but Todd couldn't take it off because it is tax season. Gayle stayed and helped me get things ready at my mom's house, and Julianne went with Rory and Todd to go see the movie. We were a bit skeptical as to whether Rory would be able to make it through a movie at the theater. She has never been sucked into movies like Andrew is. She has been so excited to see this movie though that we thought she might be okay. Well, she didn't make it. She was more interested in walking around and climbing up and down on the chairs than watching the movie. She made it maybe half way through before she didn't want to be there anymore, and she got really fussy, saying "I wanna go home." So they didn't get to see all of "Tangled". Todd took Rory home and put her down for a nap. While she was sleeping, we got things ready for the party. When Rory woke up we headed over to my mom's house for the party. Everything turned out really nice. The decorations were really cute and the food was delicious (chicken, noodles, and zucchini). After we ate, Rory opened her presents and Andrew opened up his couple of presents too. Rory got a lot of dolls, or babies as she calls them. She loves her babies. Andrew got a tool set that he was pretty excited about. After we opened up all of the presents we ate cake. Rory had a Rapunzel cake.It was cute and very yummy. Rory actually ate some of it this time too. Todd and Julianne took the kids back to our house to put them to bed and Gayle and I cleaned up stuff at my mom's. All in all I think it was a pretty good day for our Big 2-year old Girl.
