A Fun Afternoon with Grandma Cheese and Some Friends

Andrew has a book, "Curious George goes to the Aquarium" and he always says that he wants to go to the aquarium. My mom said that she wanted to take him to the aquarium up in Sandy. So on Thursday we headed up to Sandy in the morning to go to the aquarium with Grandma Cheese. Keep in mind that Andrew went to Sea World last summer, so that and the Curious George book are what his ideas of an aquarium are. Granted, for an aquarium in the middle of the dessert, it was pretty good. But Andrew kept asking to see the whales and sea lions. He did like the sharks though and Rory liked splashing in the Ray Pool. The penguins were fun to watch also. We went back to my mom's house and had some lunch and let Andrew jump on the tramp for a while. We decided to get back on the road around nap time, so the kids would sleep on the way home. When they fell asleep we decided to drive around a bit to keep them asleep. We drove up to Traverse Mountain and then we decided to drive out to Eagle Mountain. I had never been out there, so we decided to go and Nicole was going to show me where she looked at condos when we were going to move to Utah. While we were driving around we wondered where our friends new house was (they moved out of our complex two weeks ago). Nicole remembered the name of the builder and that it was near a golf course, then I saw their car sitting in a drive way. We called Dixie and asked what their new address was. I told her that I was driving by her house. She told us to come in and see it, so after we drove around a bit more we woke up Andrew and asked if he wanted to go play with Aleia. So we went and saw the house, the kids played, and Dixie gave us some yummy home-made bread. It was a very fun afternoon!
