Graduation Trip: Cancun, Mexico-Day 4

We had learned from our new friend Peggy that the Westin's Kid's Club was pretty cool and they sent their two boys down there every morning. Nicole had also found out that they had a Mini Golf course, and you have to go to the Kid's Club to get the golf ball and club. So on Monday morning while Rory was napping Andrew and I headed down to go play Mini Golf. We got the golf ball and club and headed outside. It had rained the night before, so the course was a little wet but that didn't bother us. I told Andrew I was going to show him how to do it and then let him do it by himself. He is an amazing mini golfer. He would hit the ball, then go pick it up and put it close to the hole and just kind of push it in. It was so cute. And when he found out that one of the holes makes the ball pop out on another green he was thrilled. We probably spent a good twenty minutes going back and forth on this one hole.
He then found a cool log that the ball could roll down.I tried to roll the ball back up to see if it would come out the top of the log, but there was a ledge blocking it inside. Andrew, however, thought this was the funnest game. He would roll the ball up into the log and tell me to hit it back to him. I obviously didn't need to, but I played along. We had a lot of fun. Oh, and remember how I said that it had rained the night before; well Andrew had to sit down a few times and well...no, he did not pee his pants. After about an hour or so, we went inside to see what else they had to do in the Kid's Club. They had a pool table, foosball, ping pong, and an air-hockey table. Andrew wanted to play hockey, so we did that for a few minutes. We also played Wii Mario Kart for a couple of minutes. Then we went into the room next door where they had toys. Andrew pretended to be Captain Hook, he played with balls, and he tried to do some puzzles. He wanted me to help him with the puzzles, but after a few minutes of trying to put together a simple children's puzzle I came to the conclusion that I really suck at doing puzzles and I don't have the patience for them. About this time (11am or so) I could smell something stinky and told Andrew that it was time to leave. We went back to the room and changed him. Then we saw Nicole, Rory, and Mom down in the pool. I asked Andrew if he wanted to go back to the Kid's Club or go to the pool. What do you think his response was? The pool of course! So, we got ready and went downstairs to play. We spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing, swimming, and playing.Andrew tried on Meemaw's hat and he looked absolutely adorable. I tried to get Rory to put it on, but she wasn't having it. We also found out that Rory likes Pina Coladas (virgen of course). We had a nice barbecued steak dinner and then got ready to go out.

We decided to go to the Interactive Aquarium and Dolphin Show at the mall across the street. It was a pretty nice aquarium with Piranhas,"Nemos", Sea Turtles, Rays,Sharks, and of course Dolphins. Andrew was so excited to see the Dolphins. The last aquarium he went to didn't have dolphins, so he was very happy that this one did. They did have the option to swim with dolphins as well, but I want to do that when the kids are a bit older and will remember it more. Here are some of the better pics and video of the Dolphin Show.

After we watched the dolphin show, we went and saw the shark tank. They actually have a program where you can get in the tank and feed the sharks, but we weren't really interested in that either. I did get this awesome picture of the sunset as we were leaving the aquarium though.

We decided to walk through the mall some more since it was cut short the other night due to my not feeling so well. We found this fountain and Andrew sat down and took his sandals off to go in it. Then he decided not to, so I went in. Then I took Rory in with me and Andrew wanted to go in again, but not really. Then Nicole went in and Andrew took off his sandals again to go in. So I picked him up and handed him to Nicole. He was crying the whole time he was in there. I think maybe he was tired. We went into this store that was basically a huge souvenir shop. They had a bunch of fun stuff to look at, but when I put Rory on this saddle she was so cute.

When we went back to the hotel we wanted to take pictures by the lighted fountains, but unforutunately you can take a picture with color and not see the person or see the person and no color. We then headed upstairs and got ready for bed. It was a really fun day!
