McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park

We have been trying to get together with one of Todd's co-worker's family. We spent a little bit of time with Joe and Lucia at Todd's work Christmas party. They have a boy and a girl that are really close in age to Andrew and Rory, so we wanted to introduce them to see if they can become friends. We talked with Joe and Lucia and made plans to meet at the "Train Park" (that's what Lucia called it) yesterday. I told the kids that we were going to the train park to meet some new friends and ride a choo-choo train. Rory was so excited that it was all I heard about all day Friday and Saturday morning--"Momma, I'm gonna ride the choo-choo train." We got ready and headed to Scottsdale around 10:30am. We met Lucia and her kids up there. Noah and Emma were both pretty shy. My kids however were not. They wanted to talk to them and play with them right off the bat. We all rode on the train together, then Lucia and I took our kids on the Merry-Go-Round--Todd doesn't do well going in circles. So he took pictures. After that, the kids played on the playground until lunchtime. Joe came and met us for lunch, the kids played some more, and then we got ready to go. Noah and Emma both warmed up after a little while. Just before we got ready to leave, Noah and Andrew were running around and Andrew was tickling him. It was a lot of fun for all of us. And hopefully we can get together with their family some more.
