For our Family Fun Night last week Nicole had the idea to go fly kites in the soccer field behind our complex. It was a fairly windy day, so it was perfect for kite flying. Rory got the Thomas the Tank Engine kite and Andrew got the Lightning McQueen kite. It took us a few minutes and a few trys to get them in the air, but when we did it was a lot of fun.
Rory was flying her kite and a big gust of wind ripped the string out of it and it took off. It flew pretty good before landing in a tree at the edge of the soccer field. I climbed the tree and retrieved the kite--that was fun. After flying kites for a little while we just laid down and relaxed together.
We enjoyed looking at the clouds and figuring out what they looked like. It was a great Family Fun Night!
