August 8th

Well my daily journal didn't happen yesterday because of Andrew's party.  Todd is going to blog about that.  By the time we got home and what we wanted to get done it was 11 o'clock at night.  Today we slept in and the kids were so tired they were cranky.  Todd and I both woke up with headaches which didn't help the matter, so we decided to stay home from church.  This morning Todd and Andrew played every game he got for his birthday while Rory and I napped.  I love that some days Todd lets me sleep in or go back to sleep as the case may be.  After Rory's morning nap Todd and the kids played basketball outside with Andrew's new hoop.  Then it was afternoon nap time.  I love this time of day because both the kids are napping and I can rest, relax, and re-energize.  Todd and I continued to clean up the mess in our home from yesterday and watched a movie.  We packed up all our movies except the kids movie, but one of our neighbors lent us "Food Inc".  That movie is intense!  When the kids woke up we decided to go to Kim and Gayle's to get some stuff done that we wanted to do and spend time with family.  It was productive and a lot of fun.  After a few hours we came home and put the kids to bed.  We then visited with some neighbors.  I am so going to miss just walking outside to our courtyard and spending time with friends.  Then I remembered I need to start working on my craft for my Goodsell family reunion this weekend. While I did that we finished the movie and relaxed.  This is our night in a nutshell.
